Job Description


Our client, a specialized moving company offering high-quality services within Kenya and worldwide is seeking to fill the role of a Driver.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transport of goods during relocations. This position involves driving trucks, packing and loading items, delivering and unloading at destination locations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Transport and Delivery: Drive moving trucks and vehicles to safely transport household goods, office furniture, or other items to new locations, sometimes across state or international borders.
  • Load and Unload: Assist with the packing, loading, and unloading of furniture and boxes, ensuring that items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
  • Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to minimize delays, adhering to time schedules, and avoiding traffic or road hazards.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any vehicle issues or needed repairs promptly.
  • Customer Service: Interact with clients professionally, answering any questions or concerns regarding the moving process. Ensure customer satisfaction by handling items carefully and following specific requests.
  • Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of the items being moved, ensuring nothing is lost or damaged during the move. Complete necessary paperwork such as inventory forms and delivery confirmations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations, including company policies, traffic laws, and regulations. Ensure proper securing of loads and use of protective equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a team of movers and packers to ensure smooth and efficient moves. Assist in training new crew members if necessary.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure moves are completed within specified deadlines.
